Oscar Rocha Ms. Wylde The Kite Runner Essay Hr.4 Amir was the main character in “The Kite Runner” and he lived in Afghanistan until he was 18 . ; H h e had to move out of Afghanistan because of the Soviet Invasion and he had to move to a more peaceful place , which was America. Years later, Amir got a call from Rahim Khan that Hassan (his brother) has died and that Amir has to bring Sohrab back to America so Sohrab can live a peaceful life after everything he ha s been through. Amir fought to bring Sohrab to America and is now trying to give him the life he deserves. Though this is just a summary summarization of what happened throughout the whole story, there were many obstacles and events within the story. In “The Kite Runner” the themes of love and betrayal work together to prove that you can love anyone you want, but somehow they can find a way to betray you . This which happens to come through the characters of “The Kite Runner , ” and can happen to anyone too.
