Van Hoof page 1 Alex Van Hoof Professor Daniel P. Stewart HUM -110-0001 11 October 2019 Should Cars Fly? Flying cars, we’ve all heard about this before. They’ve shown up in books, TV shows, and your Sci Fi movies. One such movie is Star Wars, when they were flying cars on the planet Bespin. All of us hope to see the day when these incredible vehicles will be released to the public where everyone would travel from city to city with nothing but flying cars. Despite what you think we are a lot closer to this time period than you know. Flying cars have been in progress since man created the first airliner. We simply haven’t had the technology to work on such a great project until recently. The first flying car was created in 1997. This event was a great invention for this time period, but like all great ideas they have their flaws. The M400 Moller, the first ever flying car, took off and flew a total of 2,800 feet before plummeting to the ground in a rock-hard landing.
