Camacho 2 Adrenoleukodystrophy ALD is a genetic disorder that results in the built up of very long chain of fatty acids throughout the body, mainly in the nervous system, the nerve cells that allow us to think and control our muscles.and the adrenal glands This affects 1 in 18,000 people, but is usually found in boys and men. This is caused by an abnormality in the ABC1 gene located in the X chromosome. ALD can be treated to prevent or delay onset of disease. This disorder progresses at a rapid speed, watching Lorenzo’s Oil, shows how fast all the symptoms show. Muscle loss, stiffness and spasms are the most commonly fist found symptoms. Many patients do not notice as these can also be misinterpreted for being clumsiness. Then is loss of hearing, and not being able to control angerness. This is also mistaken for acting out, as the ages that are targeted are when a child can be at the stage of throwing fits. Then comes the strongest wave of symptoms, which are the tough ones to ignore or mistaken.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
