Unformatted text preview: Extra Notes for Hypotheses and Analyses: In the Introduction, make sure you include Hypothesis 2 and 3 regarding (i) the outcome of interspecific competition at both high and low nitrogen availability, (i) how the intensity of competition changes between high and low nitrogen availability. Though you will include it as a graph, you do not need to state Hypothesis 1 regarding how each species will respond to fertilization. Make sure you have the following figures: 1. How growth in monoculture varied between and high and low N availability for each species (2 t-tests) 2. Monocultures vs Mixtures for each species, at high and at lowN availability (4 t-tests) NOTE: don‘t use t—tests to compare treatments BETWEEN species, just do within species comparisons to see if growth increased, decreased, or was unaffected by interspecific competition relative to intraspeciflc competition. Think about this: does the environmental condition determine the outcome of competition? 3. How does relative competitive intensity (RC1) differ between high and low N availability for each species? (2 t-tests) ...

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
