Maria Gralton Prof. Bermudez ENG 101- B8 18 November 2019 Abstract Children are given electronic devices at a very young age, which decreases their intelligence and their focus on school. Some believe that children should not be able to use their phones on school grounds. Others feel that the children need their phones in order to stay in contact with theirs families. This paper will argue that it is not smart to give children electronic devices at a young age. Parents should realize that giving children electronic device can affect their learning abilities, how they interact with their peers and teachers, and how their grades will affect them in the future. This paper will investigate why giving a child electronic devices could affect the future, what age is appropriate to give children these devices, and how we can stop this generation from falling into relying on them.
