Drone technology is constantly evolving as new innovation and big investment are bringing more advanced drones to the market every few months. Drones come in a wide variety of sizes, function, purpose. What we gonna focus a drone in agriculture The drone can be categorized into many different categories according to its flying technology, size, flying range, and flight time. Project Objectives Implementation of the latest technology building a smart drone to help in agriculture. To improve the efficiency of producing crops in the agriculture sector by implementing the use of a drone. Applying the drone in gathering useful data and analyse the data to help farmers in monitoring the farm. Replace human to minimize the possibility of exposure to the hazard, such as chemical substance and dangerous working place. Reduce the employment of foreign workers in agriculture. Problem Statement Exposure of chemical substance to the worker when spraying pesticide. Time-consuming on monitoring the growth and health of the plants. Difficulty in measuring the environment of the field which is large in size. The safety of workers accessing the uneven surface of the field. Flying Technology There is 3 main flying technology of a drone, which is with fixed wings, single rotor, and multi-rotor. A fixed-wing drone which is the simplest construction for a drone with wings fixed on its side and a rotor in front to provide forward thrust and the working principle is similar to a common aeroplane. The working principle for a single rotor and multi-rotor drone is similar, which the rotor will generate a direct upward thrust to the aircraft. The difference between single and multi-rotor drone is that a single rotor type only has one rotor and a tail rotor to control its heading direction while multi-rotor can have 3 to 8 rotor mounted on the drone and generate a total up thrust forces.
