Career 1 - SAS programmer at a research facility (Stephens - - associates.com/about/ ) Description - In this job, the SAS programmer needs to be well versed in SAS and be able to manage and monitor data, as well as generate reports from the data. This job would also require statistical analysis of data and collaboration with other departments to facilitate the research. It’s hard to pinpoint exactly how much this job would pay but it’s somewhere in the range of $60,000 - $90,000 (average SAS programmer makes about $85,000 a year). This type of job is likely to grow in the coming years because SAS is extremely useful especially in a research setting (hard to find specific information about this particular kind of job because it is sp specialized). However, in this position you can’t really move to a higher position. Your job is to look at this data and help others with the research. High levels of experience is already expected so the only potential upgrade would likely come from a salary increase. Qualifications/Educational Requirements - In order to be qualified for this job you need at least two years of experience with SAS and a Bachelor’s degree in statistics, biostatistics, mathematics, or computer science. Other skills are optional such as experience with R or SQL.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
