Notes On Rousseau Without knowledge you are uncivilized Luxury is evil, but is opposed of good morals Why are luxuries bad for you? Some people have different ideas of luxuries, and if you worked for it then you deserve it. I bought myself a computer by working hard, but i have bad morals bc i should have donated it instead but who is actually going to do that? The people who have money to give away (rich) I don’t like talking about money. It gets people in situations that you don’t want to be in. it’s stressful and if you can’t handle it then you shouldn’t have it Why do we let money have more value than what it is actually valued for? People need an incentive, a reward, to push themselves. If not they will not see a reason to outdo themselves One cannot reflect.. Pg 28- i think the reason i didn’t like the lying in huck was bc i saw this a time when life was simple, but it wasn’t i was thinking of an earlier time and time changes so our morals in a way change with it to.
