Escobar1 Andrea Escobar Prof DeNicola ENC1101 24 July 2019 The Storm In this essay, it starts by Bobinôt and his four-year-old son, Bibi, are at Friedheimer's store when a violent storm begins. The two decided to stay there until the storm passes. Meanwhile, Calixta was occupied with her sewing machine. She didn't realize that a storm was approaching. Until she noticed it was getting darker outside, Calixta decided to shut all the windows. She also ran outside to retrieve Bobinôt's and Bibi's clothes. As she ran outside, she notices An old boyfriend, Alcée, happens to be passing by. He begged her if he can stay in while the storm passes by but she said no. He insisted to come in, but Calixta was obliged. Calixta notice that the storm is not letting up, She told Alcée to come in. Calixta goes over the window to observe the storm, she was so disturbing to the

The sexual encounter ends at the same time as the storm. “The Storm” refers to their sexual desire. Calixta and Alcée were rushed with passion, which created a storm in their ego. They knew that their feelings were there, but they were sure they were happy with their former partner.
