Discussion 5 Hello Class, Happy Thanksgiving to you all. I hope you enjoy your time with your friends and family. Reading these two cases that were presented to us for this discussion and the other readings through out the course, I came to realize that juvenile cases are very complicated. We’ve been talking about the differences between juvenile courts and adult courts, and how a juvenile should be treated different that an adult. However, I am realizing that there is no clear view on when a juvenile can be treated as an adult and when they can’t. All I am seeing is that it depends on prosecution, judge and if the state participates in the juvenile system or not. There is not like if a juvenile commits this delinquency, they get this or that. Nope, it is a gray area. If I was the judge in these cases, I would send them to juvenile court for several reasons. First, both cases the juveniles were under 16 years of age at the time of the killings, which makes them meet the age criteria to be treated as such. Second, the juvenile court might be more
