Introduction: The birth control pill being introduced in the 1960’s led to many controversies, which had a huge impact on the women’s movement and rights. It can be said that this was a turning point in history. The introduction of the birth control pill had an impact on women’s and their rights in many ways: - Women gaining reproductive rights - Birth control pill led to women getting more rights in different aspects - The invention of the birth control pill was revolutionary for women The invention of the birth control pill in the sixties had a positive impact on women’s rights and movement. Body: 1) Women gaining more reproductive rights (Sociology, Anthropology, History, Psychology, Economics, Political Science) a) Giving women’s ultimate control of their personal life - Women had the right to control their life the way it seems right for them and they were not obliged to follow any rules.
