PROFESSIONAL ACCOUNTABILITY 2 A). A nursing theory is an accredited set of rules and modes of conduct that guide a nurse. Since it is my profession, some arguments seem to be more into me than others (Puente, 2017). The theory makes me feel that my code of conduct and values are well measured is the Trans- cultural nursing theory. Nurses use this theory by believing that there is no way, there can be a cure if there is no care (Puente, 2017). The approach, therefore, guides the nurses to be more caring to their patients at the workplace and understand that a health care specialist should work hard towards having well-comprehended health beliefs and life forms of a different culture in the society. The theory fits my practice in that I am a trained nurse, and I believe in the fact that patients need mental, physical, and regular health care and concern that they receive in hospitals. I think that besides medical treatment, care can cure too (Puente, 2017). B). Florence Nightingale and Virginia Avenel Henderson. Florence Nightingale is one of the iconic figures in the history of the nursing profession, stretching from 1820 to 1920. She is the pioneer of modern nursing and Served voluntarily as a nurse at St. Vincent (Puente, 2017). She served to treat the wounded British soldiers willingly who had received inadequate medical care and started suffering from other diseases such as cholera (Puente, 2017). Her willingness to serve without pay makes people remember her. The second key figure in the nursing profession is Virginia Avenel Henderson and commonly identified as the first lady of nursing. She has made a significant contribution in history to the strength of the American as well as international nursing education. She has a historical record contribution to the development of the nursing theory that all nurses should help all people, whether sick or well. She advocated for better medical health care and peaceful death (Silva et al. 2018).

PROFESSIONAL ACCOUNTABILITY 3 The two iconic figures have made me realize that there is no need to focus too much on salary and income (Puente, 2017). From the two, I learned to need to ensure that I over the best quality of care and treatment services to my patients as a nurse before thinking of salary. In that way, I have learned this is a passion, not just an income generation job. Comparing the Two The two figures have taken much of their life doing voluntary work and developing a favorable nursing code of conduct and values (Puente, 2017). Both, seen to have one heart of serving the community to their level best, without any pay. C). American Nurses Association is an organization that represents registered nurses in New York State. It involves the establishment of standards of nursing practices, promotion of rights of nurses in their workplaces, the advancement of economic and general welfare of nurses.
