This is not the case with Julia Álvarez; she grew up knowing fear and being sent away for a long time to benefit her in the long run. She has grown from the drama and fear and has turned herself to be a person with not only great success but a story that inspires many. Writer Julia Alvarez is a Dominican - American writer, who’s work covers novels, poetry, and essays. She is well known writer not only in the U.S but is at top of the Dominican narrative chronicle of the Caribbean nation. She has serval children’s books, as well as several successful novels to the extent that one novel was made a movie. “In time of the Butterflies”- Julia Alvarez, was the novel that told the origin of the story and was the movie based on the dictator Trujillo.
