This work sample will assess performance evidence, knowledge evidence and the following elements: CHCECE001 Element 1.4, 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 4.4, 4.5, 4.6, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.5, 6.1, 6.2, 7.1, 7.2, 7.3, 7.4, 7.5 CHCDIV001 Work with diverse people 1.3, 1.4, 2.2, 2.3, 3.2 CHCDIV002 Promote Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander cultural safety 1.1, 1.2, 1.4, 2.1, 2.2, 2.3 PART A This part of the assessment requires you to reflect on your culture and beliefs. You are required to identify cultural groups within your service and the community, as well as reflect on inclusive practices that support families from diverse cultures. 1) In consultation with your workplace supervisor, identify and record all the cultures that are represented within your service and the local community. : Within our service and the local community, we have Indian, Pakistani, Muslim, Chinese, Korean, Thai, Australian.

Menus are able to be reviewed by families so that they can have input. All of our documentation can be arranged in to an individual's home language. We allow for celebrations of their cultural traditions. How does the service show flexibility in their practices regarding individual culture and values? : We have a family that still hand feeds their pre-school aged child. With this we promote self-feeding and allow the child to fill his plate with the food that he wishes to eat. 4) Name the policies and procedures at your work placement that support cultural identity and cultural diversity.
