Job Search in the Accounting Field2Throughout my time over break, I had the opportunity to talk to an accounting professional that works in the same complex as my dad. I was able to apply for a summer internship after talking to Joel Dollarhide. We had a nice conversation about the future and theirfirm. Tucker Kissling & Associates is a full-service accounting firm in Oregon, Ohio and another office in Michigan. We talked about how they have specialists in construction, labor unions, and religious organizations. Joel has been a family friend for a while so we talked about my dad’s business in comparison to their company. It is similar, but also has its differences. This company is larger than the family business which would give me a different experience. Overall, the conversation I had with Joel Dollarhide was beneficial to my future.
Job Search in the Accounting Field3The next thing I did was look at polar careers for job opportunities in the Columbus area.To find this job I searched polar careers and accessed it from the current students page for Ohio Northern. Once I got to the polar careers website I went to the “jobs” tab, then clicked on the “search” section. At that point I searched for accounting in Columbus, Ohio and came up with results that were not what I was looking for. I changed the search to accounting internships in Columbus, Ohio and found more results that were peaking my interest. I clicked on a few and
