EXISTENCE OF GOD 2Existence of GodOver the years, the existence of God has come into question with many arguments put forth to disprove His existence. Many philosophers have argued for or against this stern debate that keeps on gaining momentum each day. Adherents to theism have supported their claims of God's existence using theological positions, while philosophers have used arguments centered onontology, cosmology and to give proof to the existence of a deity, God. Ontological and cosmological arguments provide a solid defense of the existence of God. This essay will explore several philosophical positions to justify and prove the existence of God.An argument from Anselm (Ontological Argument)1.Existing is far greater than not existing.2.We cannot conceive anything greater than God3.Thinking that God does not exists only opens us to thinking of the existence of a higher and greater being.4.To think of Gods, nonexistence is not thinking about God.5.It is illogical to think that God does not exist.
