Civil Rights Museum Research Project Each partnership will be given a choice of 7 different topics to choose from. They will research their topic and create a “museum style” exhibit that will be presented to the class. Each exhibit will consist of at least 8 primary source examples per topic with secondary source commentaries (captions) with each item. One secondary source is also required in addition and you will also have a choice of an additional primary or secondary source. Secondary sources are journals, books, articles, etc. written by historians. One of your sources is required to be accessed through GALE or library card catalog. Primary Sources include but are not limited to: 1. Actual historical documents (speeches, legislation, etc.) 2. Pictures 3. Video – real, NOT HOLLYWOOD 4. Artifacts – real, NOT Fakes 5. Audio Clips *NOTE: It is really easy to find 10 sources. The challenge is choosing the BEST sources that accurately tell the STORY you are attempting to tell. You may choose a variety of methods to present your project, ideas include large poster, tri-fold presentation board, PowerPoint, video or any other method approved by your teacher. If you choose to do something computerized, you must be able to access it on the server and let me know in advance to put in the computer request.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
