Kristine Brucal PHY 100 3rd period Title: Analyzing Projectile Motion using Logger Pro Software Date : November 4, 2019 Hypothesis: The time, range, distance, and velocity of a falling object can be found if two values are known. Materials: 12 wooden dowels, rubber bands, plastic cup, ping pong ball, yardstick, iPhone Camera, Logger Pro Software Procedure: 1) A catapult was built using the wooden dowels, rubber bands and plastic cup. 2) Once the catapult was built, it was utilized to release the ball in a parabolic shape. We filmed each trial using an iPhone camera. 3) A stool was placed in frame and was measured in order to use as a reference distance. 4) The video was uploaded on logger pro. We entered the measured distance of the stool (.80 m) and traced the ball after it was released. A graph was made.
