St. Jude’s Children’s Research Center is the most well-known facility throughout the world thathas accomplished what most hospitals can’t.Childhood cancer is the most heartbreaking, catastrophic disease known to man and St. Jude has proven they can and will provide, assist andcare for families whom have children fighting this horrible disease.St. Jude was built on hopeand dedication on February 4, 1862 in Memphis Tennessee St. Jude hospital opened in witness of9,000 people. For as long as I can remember St. Jude was the organization that cured cancer, Iwould watch the commercials and feel sad or helpless because cancer was consuming ourchildren, but St. Jude’s mission has always been hope.As a parent the feeling when a doctor tells you your child has cancer is shocking andsometimes you don’t react the way people would expect especially in the presence of your child.Just the thought of losing the one thing you work so hard to protect and knowing this is the onething you can’t protect them from is a feeling I could not imagine. St. Jude prides themselves onthere goals and missions because if there is no hope what else is there.
