CANDIDATE DHARMESH KOLADIYA OBJECTIVE The objective of this experiment was to understand the operation of a servomechanism. This type of instrument can be used to study different type of controlling mechanisms i.e. temperature controlling devices, tachometers, open-loop and close-loop controllers for pumps among many others. The lab was broken up into four experiments. Although the experiment number four was inconclusive, the team still performed the experiment as indicated by the instructor. Experiment number one goal was to find the relationship between the output voltage and the direction and angle of rotation of the potentiometer. The second experiment goal was to study the principle of operation of the basic operational amplifier and investigate two methods of controlling amplifier gain.
