All assignments are due in the drop boxes by 9am on the dates listed in the syllabus. Since this is a 6-week course, after Lesson 15, NO late assignments will be accepted. To receive credit for an assignment, it must be in the drop box by the date and time listed. Fi rst Assignments (Lessons 1-10): Lessons 1-10 are due by 9am, May 18. I check assignments regularly. When you complete the first 5 lessons, I will check and record your grade. Each group of "5" lessons--up to Lesson 25--is worth 15 points. The first 25 lessons are worth a total of 75 points. The lessons must be complete to receive full credit. Your assignment for Lessons 1-25 is to learn the keyboard and begin to build speed. Therefore, the first 25 lessons are not graded for accuracythey are graded pass/fail. To check your grades in myPHCC: Click the REPORT tab at the top of the screen. Click "Category" and select GRADES. Click RUN. To check your Summary Report in Keyboarding Pro Deluxe: To check and see the lessons you have saved on your USB, open Key Pro Deluxe software. From the main menu screen, click REPORTS in the top left. Click "Summary Report Lessons 1-25". You should see the work you have completed--the work you are sending to me. Remember, a lesson will not show as "completed" until you have completed the lesson. Diagnostic Timed Writings: Directions for taking the Diagnostic Timings are in your syllabus. On your assignment sheet you will see that Lessons 18, 20, 22, 23 & 25 have Diagnostic Timings. The lessons will not be graded as complete if the timings are missing. Please check your syllabus for directions for DIAGNOSTIC TIMINGS. Take the DIAGNOSTIC TIMINGS "after" you complete the lessons. The directions for completing the timings are explained in your syllabus. These timings will show your speed and error count after the first lessons. You will also see the different types of errors you are making. These timings prepare you for the timings you will take for your speed grade. Remember, you must "select" the timing from the list of timed writings-- select 18e from the list. You will follow this same format for all timings--Lesson 26 has timed w riting 26b . Word Processing Software: You will need WORD 2007 (Microsoft Office 2007) word processing software to complete lessons 26-60. If working ahead, Lesson 26 begins the Word Processing part of the class. Please read each lesson, complete the drills, and then complete the part of the class....
