Course Objective This course addresses the tax aspects of estate planning, focusing on the estate and gift tax. Note: The companion course, A554 Income Taxation of Estates and Trusts, is a 1.5 credit hour course offered in the same time frame, Mondays from 6 – 10 pm beginning on April 13, 2008. In the past, A516 and A554 were combined. 3.. Reading Materials The bulk of the reading and problem assignments come from materials developed by the instructor on estate and gift taxation and the income taxation of estates and trusts.
