Kinsella, was born in 1935 on a farm in Edmonton northern Alberta in Canada. His novel shoeless Joe was his first popular success and made into the movie Field of Dreams. The novel shoeless joe Jackson comes to Iowa starts off with Ray Kinsella, the narrator who is a young farmer in Iowa explaining how at one point in his home he heard the voice of the ballpark saying, “if you build it, he will come”. Ray because of his imaginative nature, takes responsibility and starts to build the baseball field in one of his farms. From the novel Shoeless Joe, I have learned that imaginations can turn into dreams which can in turn become a reality. The novel is an illustration of the things coming to life, the old wounds being healed and dreams becoming reality.
