Gas transport in the blood: circulating blood carries gases between the lungs and the tissues supplying oxygen to the cells and brining back carbon dioxide Internal gas exchange: occurs in the tissues as oxygen duffs from the blood to the cells Q2: Name the muscles that are involved in pulmonary ventilation (1 point). A: Diaphragm, external oblique, internal oblique, transversus abdominis, and rectus abdominis Q3: Explain the importance of lung compliance and factors that affect it (2 points) .
