Tyranny Golden 1 Tyranny, the main focus during the collaboration of both Thomas Jefferson’s Declaration of Independence and Thomas Paine’s Common sense. During the 1770’s the people of the United States were fed up with the unwanted control from the king. After all of the problems having to deal with the King either waging war, taxing, or unnecessary crimes; which made individuals have to ship back to England to serve for court, the people needed to get a control on their colonies. In doing so insisted on a Group of men, including Jefferson, came together to write the Declaration. This action was most likely brought on because of Thomas Paine’s Common Sense. In Thomas Paine’s pamphlet was one that became wide spread throughout the colonies. Over one hundred thousand copies where put into production after the appropriate people read it, discovering the meaning and what they could possibly do with it. Paine was a born of the Quaker status. Being that, Paine is most likely going to be
