2SC121 UNIT 4 ASSIGNMENT PART 1Do not forget to add your references and citations. The references will go on the last page.1. Why are cells important to the body? What do they do for us that makes them indispensable?(75-word minimum)Cells are groups of molecules that form the smallest living structures in the body (Tortora& Derrickson, 2016). Cells are the basic structures that form every living organism (Tortora & Derrickson, 2016). Groups of cells form to create tissues which help to form organs in the body (Tortora & Derrickson, 2016). Cells are important to the body because they take in nutrients from foods that allows the body to perform important functions by using organelles to make proteins, process chemicals and generate energy (Tortora & Derrickson, 2016). This is all controlled by the control center of the cell called the nucleus and houses our genome (Tortora & Derrickson, 2016). 2. Which cell organelledo you think would kill you the fastest if you lost it? Include anexplanation of the normal functioning of the organelle in the body when it is present and connectthat to what would happen if we lost it. Defend your logic and thoroughly explain. (75-wordminimum)I believe that if we lost the mitochondrion organelle then it would kill us the fastest. Themitochondrion is the powerhouse of a cell and is the largest organelle inside of the cell (Tortora& Derrickson, 2016). They are typically found in abundance in cells that make up importantorgans like the heart, lungs, kidneys and muscles (Tortora & Derrickson, 2016). Mitochondria
