People also make accounts of their pets, which kind of indicates that it is growing in popularity. I think in the future Instagram will grow more popular as more and more people are interested in this app these days. There is a bit of a chance that it can get competition in the future, which might bring it down. But the stats right now are definitely telling that might give hard competition to Facebook even though Instagram is owned by Facebook.
