They manage administration, develop student disciplinary programs, and evaluate teachers. They help lead the school community and help define the school culture. Teachersplay a vital role in student life and the school community. Their major role is in educating students and helping them learn. They encourage and advise students and their parents to lead to the best path toward success. They are a consistent entity to aid in the development of school culture and climate. Studentsare responsible for their role in the learning process. They also propel school culture and climate. Parentsare concerned with the success of their child in school. They want to make sure their child is paying attention and has good behavior while in the classroom. They want to ensure their child isn’t falling behind and is staying motivated.
Culminating ActivitySchool Communityis built of teachers, staff, admin, parents, and students. All these groups must collaborate and maintain common values. The surrounding neighbor hood and outside resources impact the quality of learning and support the education goal. School Policieshelp a school establish a safe environment and structure the overall school setting. It creates a standard of procedures for students and staff to follow in order to develop optimal learning. Determine the role culture plays in the school environment.School culture and climate are the foundation for teaching and learning with in a school. It determines the overall feel when you walk into the school each day. A positive school culture promotes connection and understanding. It plays a role in student moral, student learning and parental involvement (What is School Climate and Culture). It sets the tone for student motivation and responsibility. School culture is the grounding step in developing good collaboration with all major parties involved with a student’s individual success (Jerald, 2016).Analyze how to develop a collaborative working relationship with classroom teachers.In taking the DISC Personality assessment for natural internal style I scored high in Cautious behaviors with a secondary DISC type in supportive behaviors.
