REFLECTION IN ACTION 2 Reflection Reflecting upon the course, I should say that the majority of expectations became true. It served as a source of valuable knowledge, ideas, and experiences critical for any specialist in his/her future career and fundamental for him becoming a productive worker. Education aims at the cultivation of an enhanced understanding of the occupation, its trends, difficulties, and ways to overcome them among learners. This program also contributed to the reconsideration of some irrelevant ideas and acquisition of new ones that reflect the existing difficulties, means to provide care, and cooperate with both clients and health workers to achieve the best possible result. Analyzing my experience, I am sure that I managed to improve my understanding of the essential elements of nursing, which was one of my primary goals at the start of the course. Discussing the outcomes, first of all, I want to emphasize the correct understanding of the critical importance of evidence-based practice. It can be taken as the central takeaway of the learning process. Today, the sphere of nursing changes to be ready to face new challenges associated with the diversification of clients’ needs, problems, and diseases. To remain active, specialists cannot rely on intuition, outdated data, or methods that were useful in previous decades. On the contrary, it is essential to collect new data and make decisions regarding the existing trends in the sphere. For this reason, evidence-based nursing is a core of the modern healthcare sector as it presupposes the employment of the most relevant, current, and topical research on the topic to implement the up to date methods of caregiving or treatment (Polit & Beck, 2017). It means that health workers become involved in the research process and play a vital role in the generation of new knowledge.
