Name: Aadi, Adesh, Zach, and Elhussein Abstract: Toniticity is the measurement of the extracellular level of solutes/solvent compared to an intracellular level. The objective of this lab was to determine which solvents/solutes are able to pass through the semipermeable membrane of a dialysis bag. The Diffusion and Osmosis lab consisted of multiple things. First, we identified hypertonic, hypotonic, and isotonic solutions. Then, we learned the process of diffusion, osmosis, concentration gradient, and the two types of transport (facilitated and passive transport) and applied it to this lab, identifying the tonicity and molarity of sucrose solution. The potatoes were weighed after placed in the sucrose solution, and

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
