Anatomy & Physiology1ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGYCourse SyllabusCourse Code:BIO 101Course Type:135 hours/4 Months (120 Days)A. COURSE DESCRIPTIONOur Anatomy and Physiology course makes the difficult concepts of anatomy and physiology clear and easier tounderstand. Focusing on the normal structure and function of the human body and what the body does to maintainhomeostasis, our course provides students with detailed illustrations and a variety of interactive learning tools to helpestablish an essential foundation for success in the care of the human body. Students will examine the skin, skeletalsystem, muscles, nervous system, sensory organs, the endocrine system and other human body structures andfunctions.B. METHOD OF INSTRUCTIONThis course is self-paced, independent study, in an online environment. It takes a lot more discipline than an in personclass. You are responsible for scheduling your study time and sticking to it regularly. This course will take approximately135 hours to complete. Your exams include questions from the reading only, however we encourage you to view all the videosand read the associated articles. These materials are an extension of your reading materials and will be great resourcesfor you in the future.C. LEARNING OUTCOMES1.Define the basic concepts of anatomy and physiology2.Recognize how cells and organs develop and change throughout the life span3.Recall how each body system functions independently and contribute to overall function4.State basic characteristics of each organ system and how they contribute to maintaining normal body function5.Differentiate between organ systems of the body and their various functions
