Standing on this big rock, looking down and feeling the soft but chilly winds brush against my skin. The force of my body as I slid off, feeling the roughness of the rock under my feet. Seeing the water moving back and forth as I fly down in the air, barely touching the water. I close my eyes tight and squeeze the life jacket, screaming inside as I splash in. The water kissed my skin like the snow on a winter day. At lunch, Mr. Richie announced the trips for the day and as we ate, I felt the building shake under my feet as everyone laughed and talked. After lunch, we went back to our cabin to get ready for our overnight trip. Heading down to the waterfront, we put our things in big plastic trash bags and got life jackets on. Sitting there waiting, my eyes moved in a 360 degree rotation each second I got. My heart hit my chest, each beat with a thought, and Thoughts filled my brain one after the other. But looking at the water motivated me. I like to swim and feeling the water on my skin, calms me.
