Some people say that men are falling behind in today's world. I’m not so sure that is thecase. According to the Pew Research Center, “In 1994, 63% of recent female high schoolgraduates and 61% of male recent high school graduates were enrolled in college in the fallfollowing graduation. By 2012, the share of young women enrolled in college immediately afterhigh school had increased to 71%, but it remained unchanged for young men at 61%” (2014).While the numbers have changed drastically for women, they stay pretty consistent for men.Women have made huge advancements in management and professional careers, but accordingto an article in trainingindustry.com, “At Fortune 500 companies, however, women hold only 19percent of board seats and 15 percent of executive officer positions” (2019).When it comes to higher organizational levels such as these, there are still barriers thatwomen face, due to a “boys club” mentality.
