Jordan Jones & Eric Weinstein & Ismael Pitts Montage Collaboration Burton MUS-215-F1 03 December 2019 From the Streets to the Studio In our montage you will see how music has went from off the streets and into the studio. We chose this topic because we wanted to show how music has evolved and how it impacted the way music is today. In the montage we have some videos from different movies and tv shows that we found on the internet. We start the montage with a secen from Straight Outta Compton in which fictionalized versions of Ez-E and Dr. Dre Work on their first hit single. In the clip Ez-E is having difficulty getting the lines right and Dre tells him to sing from the heart while mixing his vocals in a sound booth. We then make a drastic cut to Hustle and Flow where actor Terrence Howard plays pimp and aspiring rapper Djay as he and his associates attempt to produce a song that will change their way of life in the same way EZ-e and Dr. Dre did with NWA.
