Since there are numerous topics on the issue, it is not appropriate to repeat one that has alreadybeen mentioned unless providing new informationIn this weeks reading I was blown away by some of the statistics stated when it comes to implementing EBP. Mohsen, Safaan, and Okby (2016) stated, “the average length of time for knowledge to become applicable and begin to be accepted on the market is 20 years” (p. 25). Twenty years is shocking to me! We are delaying best care practices by twenty years. In a study conducted by Mohsen et al. (2016) investigating nurses perceptions of EBP and obstacles on EBP implementation, Mohsen et al. found that although nurses had a positive attitude towards, EBP obstacles emerged. This study found that the major common barriers to implementing EBP in nursing practice were “difficulty in judging the quality of research articles and reports,
