When traveling for business to another country there are cultural differences that one mustrespect and even participate in to ensure the trip goes well.Researching the country ofdestination is always a good idea before your arrival and for this trip, we will be looking intoDenmark.There are a few key things one would want to look into before leaving home on abusiness trip and they include differences in how business is conducted, what is currently goingon there, and what you are going to do when you have some free time.First and foremost is how business is conducted in the country you are traveling to along with theattire you are expected to wear.Some countries have drastic differences from Canada, and it isalways a good idea to ensure you arrive prepared.When it comes to what is expected as attirewhen conducting business in Denmark, they are rather informal, men hardly wear ties and dressjeans with sports jackets are daily business wear.Commisceo Global Consulting Ltd describes Denmark as similar to Canada in some respectswhen it comes to business etiquette, but there are aspects in which Denmark differs and thoseinclude (Bates, 2019);Appointments are required and should be confirmed in writingInitial correspondence should be made to the company, not an individual employeeVacation time for many in Denmark is mid-June to mid-AugustPunctuation is big for those in DenmarkEnsure to shake hands with everyone in the meeting when arriving and leaving,beginning with the women.Business cards are big in DenmarkUse surnames when addressing those in the meeting
