Leaders are made, not born - CONThroughout history, there have been many prominent leaders that have inspired people to follow them. But we all know that they and all other leaders started without the right experience or development of skills to influence others. This is because even though such leaders may have innate leadership traits such as confidence, communication, and positivity, only through diligent improvement to hone their talents and skills, they are able to master the art of leadership and become the best leaders they can be. If we look at the definition of leadership, this is the ability to influence employees to willingly pursue an organization or an individual’s goals (Kinicki & Williams, 2018). Maybe some others do show better traits to becoming natural leaders, but most leaders who are respected and motivated do not rely on their innate skills, instead, they immerse themselves in trial and error, while continuously practicing.
