Give more power to the states rather than the central government, leaving the central government almost useless. Some of the main principles that are presented within the United States Constitution is to preserve liberty as well as create a stable and effective government which the United States would be able to thrive under.In the United States of America, liberty had already existed, but the founding fathers wanted to create a document which would be able to preserve the liberty of its citizens (Lutz).
