They range in size, are also known as Bible cysts, and most occur in the people aging from 20years old to 40 years old. These cysts most commonly occur on the back of the hand at the wrist joint but they can also develop on the palm side of the wrist. The causes of this misfortune are unknown but one theory is that trauma causes the tissue of the joint to break down forming small cysts that then join into a larger, more obvious mass.
