What role does technology have in education? Should the role of technology increase or decrease? Why?As technology usage has become an omnipresent and integral part of everyday life, so too has the use of technology in the school setting. Teaching with technology is growing fast, therefore itis important to question whether the increased investment in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is translating into actual use and improved educational outcomes (Bladergroen, Chigona, Bytheway, Cox, Dumas, & van Zyl, 2012).
