The Amish society displays rich and distinctive culture. The Amish cultural and religious
beliefs are entirely different from the American culture as a whole, yet alone healthcare beliefs.
They also have a very different view and availability of how to pay for medical services.
The article that I chose to review describes a unique community-based approach to
healthcare financing. The Amish have attained and continued a large measure of self-sufficiency
in their own community for managing costs that reflects the spirit of mutualism. The Amish
attitude provides a harsh difference to the current mainstream healthcare environment, where
