BUSINESS ANALYTICS CULTURE2Business Analytics CultureBusiness practices are changing. The change, driven by technology and innovation has had positive contributions to operational management. Computers have replaced almost all traditional practices related to computing, and production. Computers allow the management in firms and organizations to consolidate data under a single entity and therefore better control. Innovations such as data analysis dashboards have enabled better measurement of metrics which in turn enhance the tracking of success and improve decision making. Business dashboards enable the visual representation of useful information using key performance indicators (KPI) drawing stored data from a variety of databases, interacts with the user giving him insights to make key adjustments to make better decisions and meet objectives. To ensure that business analytics tools yield tangible success in any organization, a culture that is sustainable must be built. This paper will discuss the catalysts required for spearheading an analytics culture as well as methods to overcome barriers in implementing a learning analytics plan. Methods for Encouraging an Analytics CultureLeading from the TopBusiness leaders should spearhead and become champions of utilizing business analytics.Leaders should make it known across the multiple facets and functions of the organization that they are investing in business analytics (Rodgers, 2016). Leaders should eliminate any doubt regarding their approval of the of use of business analytics. With this approach, others will follow gradually building a culture.
