Video 1: Response to intervention Tier 1 is delivered by general Education teachers. Uses evidence-based core curriculum, which is effective for 80 – 85% of all students. It is also used as a differentiated Instruction. Tier 2 is built upon tier 1 Instruction. Uses strategic, evidence-based interventions Tier 2 is delivered in small groups within General Education with support provided to classroom teacher. Offered to approximately 15% of all students, mostly to those who don’t respond to tier 1 instruction. Tier 2 instruction do not replace the core curriculum, they supplement it. Tier 3 uses intensive, Evidence-based interventions It is provided to individuals or in very small groups. Also tier 3 is delivered by a specialist or special Education teacher. Only about 5% of all students will required tier 3 interventions. I would like to know how teachers are able to manage all the different learning needs of all students in their classroom at the same time and at the same pace through the same lesson?
