This requires people to then have the ability to compare their position with another’s. When looking at alcoholism, on a micro level they may be seen as a drunk, or someone who justwants to party, when in reality it can be so much more than that. On a macro level people who abuse the use of alcohol are seen as lower than the average person because of the fact they are addicts. Even when alcoholics get sober, they still are considered alcoholics at this point they are just referred to as recovering alcoholics, which can still cause them to experience social inequality.
