BUSINESS ETHICS2Ethics within the organization is considered to be the policies, procedure and culture of doing the right thing whenever an individual or individuals are faced with issues or problems thatare difficult to resolve or controversial in nature. Some of the ethical topics that often-plagued organization include but is not limited to discrimination, social obligations and trust issues. Unethical behavior and the ethical practices being carried out within an organization are extremely important more so in the technology age than ever due to the presence of social media which results in unwanted exposure literally at the drop of a hat to issues that would have otherwise been hidden or just swept to the side. According to Seaquist (2012) Ethics is the branch of philosophy that is concerned with the study of morality. Ethical inquiry centers on concept such as good and evil and right and wrong.Any organization or business that devotes time and resources to the development of policies and procedures that encourage ethical behaviors ultimately builds a positive culture in the organization. A positive culture will foster high team morale when the employees believe thatthey have a voice and are free to voice their concerns without fear of being retaliated against. Whenever an organization does not develop policies that speak to ethical operating standards, they face the possibility of a financial liability. This can be seen through a reduction in sales due to loss in consumer interest or if the consumer does not agree with the way in which the organization is being operated and the way they handle or resolve unethical practices. An organization or its employees participating in unethical business practices can have a huge impact on profits as consumers or the public tend to lose trust in the organization. Another area where unethical business practices may result in a financial liability is the potential or possibility of a lawsuit. No business or organization is immune to a disgruntled worker or workers who may claims that they have been wronged by the organization is some
