DISCUSSION ELEVEN DISCUSSION 2 Question 1 When I think back in my early educational experiences in kindergarten, I think they reinforced gender role stereotypes. During the day at school, we were told the following; Firstly, we were told that there are some occupations that are related to feminine gender while others being skewed to masculine gender. For instance, women are expected to be teachers and nurses while men were expected to be either pilots, engineers or doctors. This was from the beliefs that the society had. Women were taken as not being intelligent enough to be engineers and doctors or pilots. Since, such work required high intelligence, they were not allowed to undertake them in order to avoid underperformance in the respective sectors. Additionally, we were told that in decision making, a man has the last say. In a situation where there is a decision a decision to be made e.g. choosing the best schools for children or
