PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL 2 As a corporate America employee for the majority of my adult life, I have been through many performance appraisals. I have had both good and bad performance appraisals in the past. Having the performance appraisal done yearly, this helps the organization review my performance and evaluate it against the organizational objectives. Companies use the performance appraisal as a way to ensure the employee has objectives and is being developed using things like trainings. Using this type of measure allows the employer to review performance. Reviewing your contribution to an organization using the performance appraisal allows your manager and the human resource manager to score the contribution and review your skills. This is also a time for the manager and human resource manager to give constructive feedback. I will focus on the how to get a successful performance appraisal, the strategic advantages as well as the potential hazards of discrimination using labor laws and regulations.
