EN 10211/25/2019Literary Analysis Paper the outsidersIn S.E. Hinton’s novel, “The outsiders”, the background of this novel is about two rival gangs named the Greasers and the Socs. A teen gang in rural Oklahoma, the Greasers are perpetually at odds with the Socials, a rival group. When Greasers Ponyboy and Johnny get into a brawl that ends in the death of a Social member, the boys are forced to go into hiding. Soon Ponyboy and Johnny, along with the intense Dallas and their other Greaser buddies, must contend with the consequences of their violent lives. While some Greasers try to achieve redemption, others meet tragic ends.The author is using many symbolism literary terms in novel. Author is using thatto describe class different by using color ,car, sunset and hair in the story. Pony Curtis which our protagonist, he finds himself living two different worlds between the poor East side Greasers and the rich, west sides Socs. And main content of the story is Ponyboy’s best friend Johnny Cade kills to save his life, and then they run away the place.
