In order to evaluate an evidence-based practice project, it is important to be able to determine the effectiveness of your change. Discuss one way you will be able to evaluate whether your project made a difference in practice. Effective surgical infection prevention requires redesigning systems to reduce risk factors and to optimize evidence-based processes of care (Institute for Healthcare Improvement, 2020). In order to evaluate an evidenced-based practice project, it is important to be able to determine the effectiveness of your change. Measurement is essential to monitoring success and helps guide your team towards your specific intervention goal. The easiest way to determine the effectiveness of the change would be to compare the infection rates from before the intervention to after the intervention.
