Thispaper will review an item by Haven Allahar of the University of West Indies on “The PoliticalSociology of Sports: Issues Critical to Emerging Countries,” which is an article published in2014 to help address the issues in sports that are critical to emerging countries with smalleconomies.Review of the JournalThe author writes about the commercialization of sports in today’s world. The sportsindustry has evolved into a big business, according to her. This kind of evolution of sports hasdeveloped a daunting problem for less developed countries, mainly the ones with smallereconomies.
